In order to support the advancement of rural women and their economic empowerment, awareness was created in rural areas regarding how they can start small businesses, and how they can function as a women's group (Mahalir Kuzhu) to manufacture and sell handicrafts and food products. Rural women's self-help groups (SHGs) were invited, and a resolution was also passed to help them secure bank loans with subsidies to start their businesses.
An awareness campaign was conducted in rural areas to support the advancement and economic empowerment of women . The initiative focused on encouraging women to start small businesses and function as Women's Groups (Mahalir Kuzhu) for the production and sale of handicrafts and food products.
Key decisions and actions include Awareness Creation, Invitation, and also Resolution Passed. This initiative aims to improve the livelihoods of rural women by providing them with the necessary knowledge and financial support to become entrepreneurs. Final major output discussion was “Promoting Economic Empowerment and Small Businesses for Rural Women”.
