Child Labour Awareness

To observe World Day Against Child Labour on June 12 and to raise awareness about the issue of child Labor, an awareness rally was held in A. Kuchipalayam village within the Annagramam Union.

Rally Activities: Participants in the rally carried placards denouncing child Labor and chanted awareness slogans. This was a concerted effort to visibly and vocally communicate the severity of the issue to the local community.

Inauguration and Key Figures:

The rally was formally inaugurated by Mr. Thanikachalam, a teacher from the Government Higher Secondary School in Nellikuppam, who waved the flag to commence the procession. The event saw the participation of numerous key figures and members of the communities are Mr. Ramakrishnan - Ward Member, Mrs. Anbukkarasi and Mr. Vijayan - Government School Teachers, Mr. Lawrence - Union Officer.

Mrs. Kalaiselvi, Leader of the Women's Self-Help Group, along with its members pf Mr. Ranjith Kumar - Regional  Organizer of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Personnel from the Police Department, A large number of School and College Students. As part of the program, a pledge was taken to reaffirm the commitment against child labor. The rally concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the President of the Annai Foundation  who organized or supported the event.
